THE CHURCH

Magnificent edifice of our small town

Shimmers like a lady in white gown

Nestled though amidst bustling life,

A sacred symbol to surrender in strife.

To cry or complain in days of gloom;

To celebrate when joys are in bloom.

The monument stands tall and proud

Harkening to secrets of the crowd

Its a sentinel against frailty and vices

Blessing souls to make right choices.
